Road Rail 360 Machine

360^o road rail vehicles are ideal machines for any railway location as they provide versatility for all forms of railway maintenance, from removing and replacing rails and ballast to general lifting and lineside flailing with the appropriate attachments. Railway Support Services are pleased to offer a Colmar T 4300 FS 360^o road-rail machine for hire.

Powered by a 79Kw (109hp) Deutz diesel engine and constructed of strong electro-welded steel, a unique feature of the Colmar range of machines is their ability to extend the rear counterweight by 0.5m which increases the lifting capability by 20%. This also allows the machine to slew 180 degrees in tunnels due to its short tail-swing when retracted and their compact design allows them to perform any task.

The following accessories and attachments are supplied for the machine depending on your specific requirements:-

• Sleeper grab;
• Clamshell bucket;
• General lifting hooks;
• Flail head attachment.

This provides a one-stop solution for all construction, clearance, renovation and maintenance work on railway lines - work which they were specifically designed to undertake.

As with our locomotive hire service, Railway Support Services can provide an operator for the machine, or for longer term hire we are be able to train your personnel to use the vehicle when required.

DRIVING CAB
Steel sheet all round visibility sound insulated cab, with accident-prevention glass. Adjustable anatomic seat and steering wheel. Control board complete with engine oil pressure, fuel level, hour counter, alarm and working indicators with acoustic and visual overload indicators.
 

TRANSMISSION
Hydrostatic transmission by a variable self-regulating displacement hydraulic motor with axial pistons. Axles with epicyclic reduction gears on wheels. Rail transmission by contact between rails and tires with contact pressure register and steering hydraulic lock. Independent front and rear bogies hydraulically controlled from the cab. 3-speed gearbox with hydraulic selection from the cab:
